Rotary Club of Shanghai History

Originally chartered 1919 - 1952 as Club #545

We are currently researching the history of the Rotary Club of Shanghai - an illustrious club, the second to be established in Asia and the first in China. This is a work in process - but below are some interesting findings so far.

Historical Narratives

  • RC Shanghai Historical Narrative - narrative
    RCS Logo 1920
  • RC Shanghai Historical Overview - narrative
  • RCS Club History

      Key Documents of our Club

We are also making available issues of the
Rotary Pagoda - the weekly Club bulletin - for which we have been able to compile complete copies.

Look here for more information about the
club members or our meeting locations.

In our recent history we also have had a few developments of note.
