The Rotary Club of Shanghai Announces It’s 8th Charity Golf Tournament

[Shanghai, 8 August 2014] The Rotary Club of Shanghai is holding its Rotary Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, September 19 at Enhance Anting Golf Club in Jiading to bring the community together and to raise funds for Rotary Charities.

The event will be held at the prestigious Enhance Anting Golf Club, a world-class 18 hole Championship course designed, built, and supervised by renown architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr.  Golfing will be followed by dinner and a short awards ceremony. This is an excellent chance to learn or perfect your golfing skills, have a great time, and meet Rotarians who are passionate about Rotary values of education, clean water,  healthcare, and community development.  Private buses will leave from Pudong and Puxi on Friday morning to shuttle participants to Anting.  Registration starts at 10:30am and brunch begins at 11am followed by a group photo and the golf event.  The Rotary Club of Shanghai has also organized many different activities for non-golfers such as are luxurious spa treatment or golf lessons.

Miguel Ferrer, golf event leader and Rotarian, explained, “The Rotary Club of Shanghai started this event to build stronger friendships, involve the community, and raise funds for Rotary charities.  I am delighted to be leading the 2014 Rotary Golf event.  This year we are focusing on ensuring there are enjoyable activities for golfers and non-golfers.  It will be a more casual event than in past years so we can focus more on building friendships.  This year we are honored to receive a special guest, the Rotary International President, Gary Huang, who will also be joining our district conference on 20-21 September at the Radisson Blu Pudong in Shanghai.”

Tara Strunk, Rotarian commented, “This year’s event is designed to bring non-Rotarians, Rotaractors, Fresh Starters, and Rotarians from around the region together to develop friendships ahead of our district conference.  Please join us!  Your involvement makes this event successful as well as fun!  So sign up today and join us for another memorable tournament.”  You can sign up for the event by filling out the registration form on our website (www.rotaryshanghai.org) or emailing Wendy on 1242291192@qq.com“ Ms. Strunk shared, “Our event Sponsors have always made a huge difference in the success of our Tournament.  Please consider sponsoring!”
